Job summary

S&P Global in New York seeks an Associate Director to oversee revenue reporting and cost of sales, guiding monthly close and variance analysis. You will lead a team, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and drive automation using Alteryx, Tableau, and Power BI to reduce manual processes.

Applicants should have 6+ years in financial analysis, strong GAAP knowledge, and leadership experience; ERP exposure (Oracle Financials), Excel, and data-driven storytelling are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related discipline.
• 6+ years of work experience in financial analysis.
• At least 2 years in a leadership role within an accounting/finance function.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and revenue recognition guidance.
• Experience with ERP (Oracle Financials), Salesforce, Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, Anaplan and SmartView preferred.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; SQL knowledge is a plus.
• Able to translate financial data into clear business insights.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and coach a team responsible for revenue, cost of sales, and related financial reporting.
• Oversee monthly close processes: revenue validation, journal entries, reconciliations, and variances.
• Lead strategic initiatives reporting and revenue management with cross-functional partners.
• Support channel management reporting for sales agents.
• Drive process improvement and automation using data, analytics, and visualization tools.
• Ensure SOX compliance and audit readiness; assist audits as needed.
• Provide analyses for ad hoc requests and support Finance leadership.
