Associate Director, Quality & Standards - Data Center Liquid Cooling

Fluid2Chip is a specialized technical services practice built on decades of data centerexpertise. Job Summary

TheAssociate DirectorQuality & Standards provides leadership in defining and propagating technical standards and best practices related to direct-to-chip liquid cooling system design, installation, maintenance, and operations.
In this role you will lead a team of subject matter experts who provide technical guidance to internal field engineer and project management teams as well as to external clients, OEMs, and industry groups.

Success in this role requires leading a team that balances ongoing standards development and process improvement activities, training field resources on those standards and processes, and providing SME support for technical escalations from project execution teams.

This role requires flexibility to travel around the US up to 25%.

Essential Functions

Team Leadership and People Development (25%)

  • Provide direct day-to-day people management for a team of technical subject matter experts.
  • Monitor team workload distribution; surface capacity constraints and coordinate with Operations leadership to ensure balanced, sustainable allocation.
  • Establish andmaintainteam-level workflows, communication norms, and operating practices that support consistent quality andtimelydelivery in a fully remote environment.
  • Identifyand remove process barriers that impede team productivity; escalations systemic issues to department or operations leadership with clear context and recommended solutions.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with all direct reports;maintaina consistent cadence of structured check-ins, feedback conversations, and goal reviews throughout the year.
  • Serve as a primary advocate and resource for team members navigating F2C systems, processes, tools, and culture; activelyconnectpeople to the support and information they need.
  • Model F2C values and operating norms in all interactions; actively reinforce the behaviors and standards that reflect the F2C way of working.

Standards Development and Maintenance (25%)

  • Develop, document, and maintain standardsand specifications in conjunction with industry, OEM, and customer requirements.
  • Review existing standards regularly to ensure they align with customer needs and ongoing innovations in the industry.
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to staff regarding standards implementation and compliance.

Technical Training(25%)

  • Lead the technical training program for field resources ensuring they have the requisite knowledge to operate independently on customer sites.
  • Create course content based on technical standards and deliver through asynchronous recorded sessions, live classroom and laboratory sessions, and live in field sessions as needed.
  • Partner with Operations leaders to ensure field verification of skills and knowledge.
  • Identify knowledge gaps and develop new curriculum as industry standards evolve and new technologies emerge.

Technical Support for Project Execution(25%)

  • Provide technical support for projects including plan and specification reviews and redlines.
  • Provide technical support for project issue escalations including root cause analysis and corrective action recommendations.
  • Participate in on site and virtual meetings as required and requested by project execution team.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Advanced degrees preferred.
  • 5+ years of high purity process cooling or mission-critical experience in design, construction, or operations.
  • 3+ years of people management experience.
  • Strategic execution and organizational planning.
  • Leading organizational initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Cross-functional collaboration across multiple business units.
  • Performance management, coaching, mentoring, and leadership development.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • ExperienceutilizingMicrosoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams) and business technology platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities whilemaintainingexceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work successfully in a remote environment through effective communication, self-motivation, proactiveness, and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership, employees, clients, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to effectively plan, prioritize, and delegate work across multiple teams and leadership levels.
  • Ability to follow company and site safety requirements.

Travel Requirements

  • Up to 25%, this may include travel to any or all 50 US states.
