Job Details

Cencora is seeking a remote Associate Director of Quality, Management & Compliance (QMC), based on the East Coast of the US, to join our team. The Associate Director QMC will provide a broad range of support and consulting in QMC, responsible for implementing operational tasks and supporting the professional and organizational development of the QMC VDC.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with driving major new QMC programs in collaboration with client partners and PAL, including responsibility for implementation and continuous improvement of budgets, KPIs, and project management tasks.
  2. Provide thought leadership in relevant technical areas of QMC.
  3. Develop and maintain client relationships, identifying opportunities for increased service.
  4. Communicate effectively with clients and health authorities.
  5. Plan and execute client projects according to KPIs, leading project teams with colleagues and external partners.
  6. Offer QMC strategy advice to various client programs and projects.
  7. Participate in proposal development and project decision-making.
  8. Maintain personal regulatory knowledge, apply it to client projects, and share insights with colleagues.
  9. Support VDC strategy implementation and optimization.
  10. Ensure compliance with internal processes and take accountability for their optimization.
  11. Provide technical support and coaching to colleagues.
  12. Lead efforts to acquire new clients and projects, including proposal coordination and bid defense participation.
  13. Lead VDC-led commercial, marketing, and business development activities, including proposal input and management, and present seminars and lectures to colleagues, clients, and professional audiences.
  14. Oversee project delivery to budget and resolve invoicing queries.
  15. Provide on-site QMC support to PharmaLex clients as agreed with the Head of VDC QMC.
  16. Perform other reasonable tasks as assigned in line with abilities, upon agreement with the Line Manager/Practice Area Lead/Head of VDC QMC.

Experience & Educational Requirements:

  • 10-15 years of pharma industry experience.
  • Extensive professional experience in the industry or relevant area, with a strong network across industry and associations, complemented by financial and business acumen, and a solutions-focused approach to complex problems.
  • University degree in Life Sciences.

Minimum Skills, Knowledge & Ability Requirements:

  • Ability to set strategic goals for GCS and client partnerships, balancing client requests with company interests.
  • Structured, analytical, systematic, and independent work style; adaptability to new and challenging situations; capacity to drive strategy and act according to policies.
  • Experience in leading business process reengineering and change management, proactively identifying cross-selling opportunities, and developing pragmatic solutions at higher organizational levels.
  • Leadership experience in managing and motivating staff.
  • Ability to lead large, international, or complex project teams, distribute work effectively, and achieve project commitments, especially in change management scenarios.
  • Proficiency in managing client relationships at the Vice President level and conveying strategic collaboration goals.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present confidently and handle sensitive issues effectively.
  • Fluent in English and the local language as appropriate.
