Job Details

Cencora is looking for a remote Associate Director of Quality, Management & Compliance (QMC), based on the East Coast of the US, to join our team. The Associate Director QMC provides a broad range of support and consulting in QMC. They will be responsible for implementing operational tasks and supporting the professional and organizational management and development of the QMC VDC.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Assist in driving major new QMC programs in collaboration with client partners and PAL, including responsibility for implementation and continuous improvement of budget, KPIs, and other project management tasks.
  2. Provide thought leadership in relevant technical areas of QMC specialization.
  3. Develop and maintain client relationships and identify opportunities for increased service.
  4. Communicate effectively with clients and health authorities.
  5. Plan and execute client projects in accordance with KPIs, leading project teams with colleagues and external partners.
  6. Advise on QMC strategy for various client programs and projects.
  7. Participate in proposal development and project decision-making.
  8. Maintain personal regulatory knowledge, apply it to client projects, and share insights with colleagues.
  9. Support the implementation and optimization of VDC strategy.
  10. Ensure internal processes are optimized and take accountability for their compliance.
  11. Provide technical support and coaching to colleagues.
  12. Lead acquisition of new clients and projects, including proposal coordination and bid defense participation.
  13. Lead VDC-led commercial, marketing, and business development activities, including proposal management. Present seminars and lectures for colleagues, clients, and professional audiences.
  14. Oversee project delivery to budget and resolve invoicing queries.
  15. Provide on-site QMC support to PharmaLex clients as agreed with the Head of VDC QMC.
  16. Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Line Manager or Practice Area Lead.

Experience & Educational Requirements:
  • 10-15 years of pharma industry experience.
  • Extensive professional experience, a strong network across the industry, and knowledge in financial and business aspects. Solution-focused with the ability to resolve complex problems.
  • University degree in Life Sciences.
Minimum Skills, Knowledge & Ability Requirements:
  • Ability to set strategic goals for GCS and client partnerships, balancing client requests with company interests.
  • Structured, analytical, independent work approach; adaptable to new and challenging situations.
  • Experience in business process reengineering and change management; proactive in identifying and managing sales opportunities.
  • Leadership experience in managing and motivating staff.
  • Ability to lead large, international, or complex project teams, ensuring commitment and meeting milestones.
  • Client relationship management skills at senior levels, with the ability to communicate strategic goals effectively.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with fluency in English and the relevant local language.
