Job summary

Alnylam Pharmaceuticals seeks a Senior Associate Director to lead Quality digital capabilities, including SAP, Veeva, LIMS and related platforms. You will own day-to-day operation, enable scalable, compliant systems, and translate Quality needs into functional IT requirements across IT and enterprise digital teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or related field.
• 8+ years in Quality with a strong GxP data domain understanding.
• 5+ years SAP in a Quality context with cross-system integrations.
• 7+ years Veeva Vault Quality or equivalent QMS tech.
• Knowledge of ERP/LIMS/MES alongside QMS platforms.
• Experience applying Quality Risk Management to drive improvements.
• Strong written and verbal communication for senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-year roadmap for Quality digital capabilities (SAP, Veeva, LIMS).
• Drive prioritization and adoption through governance with IT.
• Own QA/QC digital capabilities ensuring validated, compliant operations.
• Translate Quality requirements into clear functional specs for IT/SAP and Veeva teams.
• Standardize processes to reduce customization and enable global ops.
• Assess new IT features and drive value-based adoption in Quality.
• Support data governance, traceability, and audit-ready reporting.
• Lead change control and validation alignment with QMS requirements.
• Ensure documentation quality for validation deliverables and config decisions.
• Coach users on compliant use and effective issue triage.
• Lead periodic reviews of system performance and regulatory posture.
• Contribute to validation strategy with risk-based planning.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Veeva Vault Quality, LIMS, SAP best practices.
• Coordinate with owners of other Veeva Vaults and GxP systems for data exchange.
