Job summary

Centessa Pharmaceuticals, a Lilly subsidiary, is seeking an Associate Director, Program Management for Orexin Development Programs. The role focuses on early-stage neurological drug development, working under the Global Team Leader to drive cross-functional initiatives, integrate plans, and manage governance for IND-enabling activities.

The ideal candidate combines 8+ years of pharma/biotech PM experience or an MS/MBA with 6+ years, with strong knowledge of drug development and regulatory

Role

Associate Director, Program Management for Orexin Development Programs at Centessa Pharmaceuticals, a Lilly subsidiary, focusing on early-stage neurological drug development.

Responsibilities

• partner with the Global Team Leader to manage cross-functional teams, develop and maintain integrated project plans and dashboards, oversee risk and issue management, track budgets and external vendor deliverables, prepare governance and regulatory documents, and contribute to best practice processes.

Requirements

• BS plus 8+ years or MS/MBA plus 6+ years in pharma/biotech R&D
• at least 4 years in project management
• experience managing IND-enabling activities, pre-IND meetings, IND submissions, and Phase 1 clinical development
• strong knowledge of drug development, regulatory interactions, and GxP standards

Preferred

• PMP certification, proficiency in project management software (e.g., Smartsheet).

High-Value

development of orexin receptor 2 (OX2R) agonists for sleep-wake disorders, with involvement across clinical, nonclinical, CMC, and regulatory areas. Collaboration with global teams and external vendors.
