Job summary

AbbVie is seeking an Associate Director, Pharmacometrics to lead PMx strategy across drug development programs and provide expert consultancy to project teams. The role emphasizes developing innovative PMx methodologies and ensuring high-quality deliverables while collaborating with CPPM leadership.

The successful candidate will drive strategic PMx initiatives, guide model-informed decision making, and contribute to regulatory submissions and interactions with authorities.

Qualifications

• PhD with 5+ year of experience or Masters degree with 11+ years of experience in a relevant field such as (bio-)statistical modeling and simulation, PKPD modeling, system pharmacology
• Strategic thinking and enterprise view
• Proven scientific track record and technical skills to perform the role
• Demonstrated project management skills such as scope management and progress tracking/driving

Responsibilities

• Drive Pharmacometrics PK/PD strategy across multiple major projects and programs; collaborate with CPPM senior management in the selection of action plans that best meets business needs in drug development
• Responsible for the appropriateness, quality and accuracy of pharmacometrics deliverables
• Advise on complex methodologies such as advanced analytics, machine learning and mechanistic modeling
• Ensure the timely delivery of PMx regulatory documents and response to regulatory agency comments
