Job summary
Scorpion Therapeutics in Parsippany, NJ seeks an experienced attorney to draft, negotiate, and review a wide range of commercial agreements across licensing, supply, development, and more. This role partners with business units to align agreements with operational needs and strategic objectives.
The ideal candidate will have a JD from an ABA-accredited law school, 7+ years of transactional/contract law experience (pharma preferred), and NJ bar admission or eligibility; strong analytical skills
Qualifications
- 7+ years transactional/contract law experience; pharmaceutical experience strongly preferred.
- Bar admission in New Jersey preferred.
- Ability to analyze complex legal documents and identify key issues.
- Strong conceptual thinking; understand how issues interrelate and impact business decisions.
- Skilled at defining problems, gathering facts, drawing conclusions, and developing creative, business-aligned solutions.
- High attention to detail; manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
Responsibilities
- Draft, negotiate, and review commercial agreements (licensing, supply, development, sourcing, quality, clinical trial, technology services, distribution, consulting, confidentiality, divestiture).
- Partner with business units to align agreements with operational needs and strategic objectives.
- Advise management on contractual, financial, and legal risks; recommend practical mitigation.
- Ensure compliance with international, federal, state, and local laws applicable to Teva's operations.
- Support the VP, General Counsel, TGO - Americas in enhancing legal processes, policies, and best practices.
