Job summary

Qualifications

• 7+ years in benefits, compensation, or HRIS with 3+ years in a similar role.
• Hands-on experience with HRIS and equity platforms (HiBob or Rippling, Carta, Fidelity, E-Trade).
• Strong Excel skills and discretion with sensitive data.

• Build scalable processes and documentation to support the People Team's continued growth

Position Summary:

Soufflé Therapeutics is seeking an Associate Director, People Services to own benefits administration, compensation operations, and People Technology including People Analytics. This role gives a detail-oriented HR operations professional the opportunity to build and run mission-critical people infrastructure - including a major equity platform migration - at a fast-growing genetic medicines company.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end administration of employee benefits programs across the US and Germany, including vendor management and compliance
• Lead compensation operations, including salary structure maintenance, merit and bonus cycle execution, and equity administration
• Manage and optimize People Technology systems, including leading the migration of our equity administration platform.
• Partner with Finance and Legal on compliance, audit readiness, and IPO-readiness workstreams related to compensation and equity
• Build scalable processes and documentation to support the People Team's continued growth

What Success Looks Like

• In 3 months: You're fully ramped on our benefits, compensation, and systems landscape, handling all employee benefits questions independently, with an equity platform migration plan approved, a new HRIS implementation plan scoped, and an audit of employee documentation completed with findings built into current processes
• In 6 months: You've implemented the HRIS with a maintenance plan and roadmap in place, you're running benefits renewal independently, co-leading the Benefits workstream, and you've taken over the rewards program independently, with a 12-month People Technology roadmap defined and underway
• In 12 months: You're running compensation operations, including annual adjustments, the promo cycle, and compensation committee reporting — with minimal oversight, and you've identified where these processes will break down as the team scales and proposed redesigns to keep them running smoothly. You've led the identification and implementation of AI-enabled process improvements, with a roadmap for further automation as the org grows, and you've partnered with People leadership on team structure and org design recommendations to support anticipated growth, including where People Services itself may need to add capacity.

Qualifications — Required

• 7+ years of experience in benefits, compensation, or HRIS, including 3+ years in a similar role, ideally in biotech, pharma, or another high-growth life sciences company
• Hands-on experience with HRIS and equity administration platforms (e.g. HiBob or Rippling, Carta, Fidelity, E-Trade)
• Strong Excel skills and a demonstrated ability to manage sensitive, confidential data with discretion

Qualifications — Preferred

• CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) or CEBS (Certified Employee Benefit Specialist)
• Experience managing public company equity administration, and/or exposure to international (Germany/EU) benefits and compliance

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related field
