Job Description:

The Opportunity:

The BenTech Partnership and Integrations team is responsible for the strategy and execution of Sun Life digital partners and capabilities for all size segments of the Sun Life business. The team drives new and cross-sell premium through existing partners, brings on new technology partnerships, and promotes both our technology partners and internal innovations. The team maintains market knowledge of the full digital platform landscape. The partnership manager will have a deep understanding of the full suite of Sun Life digital capabilities, both owned and partner-based.

How you will contribute:
  1. Manage existing partnerships as the lead relationship manager
  2. Create annual business plans focusing on core Sun Life initiatives, coverage gaps, and premium growth
  3. Include key performance indicators and metrics to measure success throughout the year
  4. Meet regularly with partners to review business plans, identify opportunities, and scope additional integrations
  5. Governance over contracts and amendments
  6. Evaluate new partnership opportunities from various organizational areas
  7. Create business cases for new partnerships
  8. Identify revenue drivers, operational efficiencies, IT costs, and impacts on digital strategy
  9. Onboard new digital partnerships
  10. Coordinate with Sun Life functional areas to ensure all client journey impacts are considered
  11. Work with marketing to create and execute go-to-market plans
  12. Train the distribution team on new partnerships
  13. Communicate partnership updates to market, brokers, and stakeholders
What you will bring with you:
  • Relationship management skills to build productive relationships with partners and internal teams
  • Drive, motivation, problem-solving skills, and a consultative approach
  • Knowledge of the Group Benefits Insurtech marketplace and emerging trends
  • Ability to collaborate across diverse teams and organizations
  • Experience in Group Benefit and Absence products (preferred)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 7+ years in the Insurtech space at a carrier, broker, or platform
  • Comfortable navigating cross-functional, matrixed organizations
Salary:

$116,500 - $174,800
