• 5+ years of experience in content marketing, SEO content, organic growth, editorial, or a related marketing role.
• Excellent writing and editing skills, with recent experience personally creating long-form and digital content.
• Strong hands-on SEO experience, including keyword research, search intent, content optimization, internal linking, and performance analysis.
• Working knowledge of GEO/AEO and how content is increasingly discovered and cited through AI-powered search experiences.
• Proven experience creating and optimizing content that drives measurable organic traffic, engagement, leads, or other business outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to take content from research and brief development through writing, optimization, publishing, and performance measurement.
• Experience managing content production workflows and collaborating with agencies, consultants, or external partners.

Responsibilities

• Conduct keyword, search intent, competitive, and content gap research and translate insights into content briefs and finished content.
• Partner with internal subject matter experts to turn complex financial topics into clear, engaging content.
• Partner with external SEO consultants to identify opportunities, develop content briefs, and execute content initiatives.
• Identify and execute opportunities to increase off-site visibility and authority through third-party profile optimization, industry rankings, guest articles, interviews, publisher placements, citations, and brand mentions.

Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Growth Marketing, the Associate Director, Organic Content & Growth (SEO & GEO/AEO) will help execute and scale Cresset's organic growth initiatives across SEO, GEO/AEO, content marketing, and AI-powered discovery channels. This role is responsible for creating and optimizing content that drives qualified leads, increases brand visibility, and supports long-term organic growth.

This is a hands-on role for a content marketer with strong SEO and AI discoverability expertise. The ideal candidate will manage content production workflows, develop and optimize high-performing content, and contribute directly to writing and editing. Working closely with the Growth Marketing team, external SEO consultants, and internal subject matter experts, this individual will translate strategic priorities into compelling content and measurable business outcomes.

The successful candidate will have a performance marketing mindset, using content and organic discoverability as levers to increase visibility, engagement, and lead generation across search engines, AI-driven discovery platforms, digital channels, and paid campaigns. They will help expand Cresset's digital footprint and authority signals to support both SEO and GEO/AEO performance.

Content, Discoverability & Brand Authority

• Partner with external SEO consultants to identify opportunities, develop content briefs, and execute content initiatives.

Organic Growth & Search Optimization

• Collaborate with the Head of Growth Marketing and external partners on SEO and GEO/AEO strategy while taking direct ownership of execution.
• Apply SEO best practices across content, including keyword strategy, search intent, content structure, internal linking, metadata, and other on-page optimization opportunities.
• Optimize content for discoverability across traditional search engines and emerging AI-powered experiences, including AI assistants, LLMs, and answer engines.
• Monitor organic and AI-search performance to identify opportunities to increase qualified traffic, engagement, visibility, and leads.
• Use performance data to continuously test, refresh, and improve existing content.
• Stay current on emerging SEO, GEO/AEO, and AI search trends and identify practical opportunities to test new approaches.
