Job summary

Merck is preparing for a potential U.S. launch of an oncology mRNA-based, individualized neoantigen therapy for early stage melanoma and is building a field-based team to educate treatment sites on workflows, tools, and operational requirements to onboard the product and sustain end-to-end execution from onboarding through steady-state operations.

The Associate Director Oncology Treatment Site Lead will be the primary field contact for sites, coordinating with cross-functional partners,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (required).
• 5+ years in healthcare or life sciences with sales, account management, or provider operations/administration.
• Strong understanding of the healthcare ecosystem.
• Experience with provider organizations to implement workflows for complex therapies.
• Ability to operate in evolving 'white space' environments with unclear paths and dependencies.
• Strong operational problem-solving skills to diagnose root causes and coordinate next steps.

Responsibilities

• Lead onboarding and readiness for product treatment sites.
• Deliver process-focused education to site stakeholders using approved resources.
• Ensure sites have capabilities for end-to-end treatment journey.
• Serve as ops SME for assigned sites and provide workflow support.
• Primary contact for operational issues; triage and coordinate across functions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional oncology field teams to ensure consistent site experience.
• Build trusted relationships with site leaders and provide reliable support.
• Use data and dashboards to assess site metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
• Synthesize site feedback to HQ for process enhancements.
