Job summary

Atlantic Group is seeking an experienced accounting professional to lead SEC reporting and maintain SOX controls in a publicly traded environment. You will coordinate audits, prepare 10-K/10-Qs, and support monthly closes with strong technical accounting research capabilities.

The role requires CPA, a Bachelor’s in Accounting, and 6+ years of relevant experience, with excellent communication skills to relay financial information to management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file SEC reporting documents, including 10-K and 10-Qs.
• Assist with earnings releases and Form 8-Ks.
• Coordinate and manage annual audit and quarterly reviews by external auditors.
• Maintain quarterly reporting timelines.
• Conduct technical accounting research.
• Provide support to accounting team and monthly close process.
• Assist with the development, improvement and implementation of accounting policies.
• Communicate relevant financial information to management.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of corporate entity internal controls required for SOX compliance.

• Reporting directly into the Corporate Controller
• Responsible for all required SEC reporting documents, including annual reports on Form 10-K, 10-Qs.
• Assist with the preparation of earnings releases and Form 8-Ks, as needed.
• Coordinate and manage annual audit and quarterly reviews by external auditors.
• Maintain quarterly reporting timelines.
• Responsible for technical accounting research.
• Provide support to accounting team and monthly close process.
• Assist with the development, improvement and implementation of accounting policies.
• Communicate relevant financial information to management.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of corporate entity internal controls required for SOX compliance.
• Manage updates to the internal control matrix.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• CPA required.
• 6+ years of experience.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel
• Experience within a public company required.
• Strong technical accounting experience and research capabilities.
• Extensive knowledge of SOX404 controls and requirements.
• Very strong written and verbal communication skills.
