Role Description
Summary/Objective
The Associate Director of Business Development is a strategic leader responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities within the Beauty and Personal Care industry, focusing on Skincare, Body care and Haircare. This role involves driving business growth through strategic partnerships, market analysis, and innovative initiatives. Collaborating closely with the Director of Business Development, the Associate Director will co-develop and implement market strategies, ensuring a robust pipeline of projects. As a key organizational leader, this individual will manage and mentor a team, inspiring both internal teams and external partners to achieve overarching business objectives

Strategic Leadership & Business Development
- Formulate and implement strategic plans to drive business growth in the Beauty and Personal Care industry.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, establishing relationships with potential clients in the Skincare and Fragrance sectors.
- Generate Leads and opportunities to increase our pipeline.
- Capture Request for Quotes (RFQs) or Quoting Opportunities and drive them through the Quoting process, submit Quote and win business.
- Evaluate existing partnerships and sales efforts, recommending strategies for improvement and growth.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to enhance brand presence and network with key stakeholders.
- Assist in leading and managing the business development team, setting clear objectives and providing guidance to achieve targets.

Account Management & Client Relations
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their needs and aligning solutions to meet their objectives.
- Analyze the Demand and Forecasts of key Clients.
- Collaborate with clients to secure quarterly forecasts, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Lead Quarterly Business Reviews, assessing performance metrics, addressing challenges, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
Market Analysis & Innovation
- Conduct comprehensive market research, providing insights on emerging trends, competitive landscape, and potential opportunities.
- Lead the development of innovative product lines, in collaboration with R&D.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), tracking metrics like lead generation, quote acceptance rates, and customer satisfaction.
- Foster a culture of innovation, encouraging continuous learning and adaptation to market changes.
Leadership & Strategic Influence
- Demonstrate integrity, accountability, and strategic thinking, serving as a role model within the organization.
- Influence stakeholders through effective communication and negotiation, driving initiatives that align with business objectives.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook).
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Aptian is advantageous.
- Full-time position, with an approximate split of 50% in-office and 50% at client sites.
- Willingness to travel as required, including occasional overnight trips.
- Regular use of standard office equipment, including computers, phones, photocopiers, and scanners.
Physical Demands
- Prolonged periods of sitting, with frequent computer use.
- Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
- Regular activities include standing, reaching, talking, and hearing.
