Are you a digital marketing project leader with the experience and expertise to drive best-in-class digital marketing project management and lead a team? An Associate Director of Project Management oversees the planning, execution, and monitoring of large-scale marketing projects, ensuring alignment with overall marketing strategy, meeting deadlines, staying within budget, and delivering measurable results by leading cross-functional teams, managing project timelines, allocating resources, and tracking campaign performance through data analysis. Responsibilities include developing, tracking, and evaluating programs to achieve goals and objectives. You may manage a large and diverse team of professionals, technical staff, support staff, and contractors, directly and indirectly through managers and supervisors. You also create and manage complex budgets and business plans for project development and implementation.

Key Responsibilities

You create strategic and operational plans for major projects, monitor progress, and report on program and financial goals. As an Associate Director, you update stakeholders on project progress, changes, and risks. Collaboration with project managers helps identify needs and develop solutions. Typical duties include:

  • Coordinating efforts of employees to ensure task completion
  • Developing project timelines
  • Creating and monitoring budgets
  • Recommending changes to stay within budget and deadlines
  • Developing contingency plans

You may supervise employees and contractors, ensuring performance and addressing issues. Supervisory responsibilities include:

  • Scheduling and delegating tasks
  • Monitoring performance and providing feedback
  • Setting goals and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Hiring and onboarding managers

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with marketing leadership on project plans
  • Managing cross-functional teams
  • Overseeing campaign implementation across channels
