The Associate Director of Events is responsible for hiring, training, managing, and coaching approximately five to ten Event Catering and Convention Services Managers and Coordinators. The primary responsibility of this role is to lead, sell and service local business.
This position may serve as the second-in-command within the Events division and reports directly to the Area Director of Sales, Events, and Marketing. The Associate Director of Events is assigned specific administrative responsibilities, including supervisory oversight of a portion of the Events department, such as Event Managers, Administrative Assistants, and Trainees.
This position is responsible for achieving an assigned sales quota and servicing groups within the formal social events market, including weddings, galas, fundraisers, holiday events, milestone celebrations, and other special events.
The salary range for this position is $68,700 - $109,800. This is the range for this position that Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa and Marina reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.
