Job summary

Conexión Américas in Nashville, TN, seeks an experienced Associate Director of Education Programs to lead family engagement and college access initiatives, including PadresComprometidos and Escalera. The role oversees staff, mentors volunteers, and builds strong partnerships with schools and community organizations.

The ideal candidate brings program management experience, data-informed decision making, and strong leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred in education, social work, or related field.
• Minimum of two years in family engagement, college access, or program management.
• Bilingual Spanish and English preferred; bicultural experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
• Experience in data management, analysis, and reporting.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Evenings and occasional weekends; reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight for family engagement and college access programs across multiple sites.
• Lead the design, coordination, and delivery of workshops, college visits, and enrichment activities.
• Guide regular curriculum review to ensure programming remains relevant, culturally responsive, and impactful.
• Monitor program operations, budgets, and performance outcomes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and funder requirements.
• Prepare accurate and timely program reports, invoices, and related documentation.
• Lead data collection, analysis, and reporting efforts to support continuous learning and program improvement.
• Build and sustain strong, collaborative partnerships with schools, community organizations, and key stakeholders.
• Supervise, support, and mentor a core team including the College Access Manager, Family Engagement Manager, and Family Engagement Coordinator, while also providing guidance to additional staff and volunteer facilitators.
• Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team culture grounded in shared goals and continuous improvement.
• Conduct regular one-on-one check-ins, performance evaluations, and team debriefs to support alignment and growth.
• Support staff and volunteer development through coaching, training, and ongoing professional development opportunities.
