We work seamlessly across practices, industries and jurisdictions with asset managers, private equity and venture capital firms, Fortune 500 and FTSE companies, major sports leagues, entertainment industry legends and other industry-redefining companies.

The Associate Director of Editorial & Content leads the Firm's editorial and content function, owning the development of the Firm's thought leadership and the marketing of that content across the Firm's channels, including social, video, podcasts, website, and email. The Associate Director sets the editorial vision, strategy, standards, and governance that shape how thought leadership and market-facing content are developed, prioritized, and brought to market, raising the profile of the Firm's priority, institutional, and emerging practices in service of strategic marketing and business development objectives.

The Associate Director serves as a principal adviser to Firm leadership, practice groups, and individual lawyers on content strategy and editorial best practices, partnering across the Firm to develop thought leadership, campaigns, and other market-facing content.

Lawyers are the primary authors of the Firm's thought leadership. The editorial and content function provides the strategic editorial guidance that shapes those insights into clear, consistent, and high-impact content aligned with the Firm's business priorities and brand.

The Associate Director works in close partnership with the communications functions (Public Relations, Digital Marketing, Brand & Internal Communications, Awards & Recognition) as well as Business Development and Marketing Operations to ensure content advances the Firm's business priorities, strengthens its market position, and delivers a consistent client experience across channels.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Establish and evolve the Firm's editorial vision, strategy, standards, and governance in alignment with business priorities and brand positioning
  • Identify emerging legal, regulatory, industry, and client issues that can be developed into timely, insight-driven thought leadership and strategic campaigns
  • Lead editorial planning, content calendars, and publication schedules to ensure coordinated, high-impact communications across the Firm
  • Oversee the Firm's content portfolio, evaluating performance, identifying gaps, and aligning editorial investment with the Firm's strategic priorities
  • Establish, maintain, and enforce editorial standards, style, tone of voice, and governance across all market-facing content
  • Monitor developments in AI, search, and content discovery, adapting editorial strategy, workflows, and standards to keep the Firm's content visible and effective across evolving channels.
  • Develop editorial guidelines and workflows that enable content to be efficiently adapted across channels and formats while maintaining quality, consistency, and accuracy
Lawyer & Leadership Advisory
  • Advise Firm leadership, practice groups, and individual lawyers on the planning, development, and refinement of thought leadership and other market-facing content, helping strengthen clarity, relevance, editorial quality, and audience impact
  • Guide marketing, business development, and practice leadership on editorial strategy for campaigns and other initiatives, including scope, sequencing, staffing, and resource requirements
  • Help practice groups translate business priorities into sustained content initiatives that strengthen market positioning and support client development
  • Provide editorial leadership for strategic campaigns and major Firmwide initiatives from concept through execution
  • Shape campaign narratives, editorial frameworks, and content plans that align with practice, industry, and Firm priorities
  • Partner with marketing and business development colleagues to integrate thought leadership into broader client development and market positioning initiatives
Cross-Functional Coordination & Distribution
  • Set the strategy for the Firm's digital content channels and lead the development of new channels that deliver insights to clients and the market.
  • Ensure content is effectively developed, published, promoted, and measured across web, social media, video, blogs, email, syndication platforms, and emerging channels
  • Partner with digital marketing, public relations, brand and internal communications, awards and recognition, marketing operations, and business development to maximize the reach and impact of the Firm's editorial investments.
  • Advise on legal, ethical, and reputational considerations related to content, working closely with the Communications Officer, Conflicts and General Counsel as needed
  • Lead editorial strategies that strengthen the visibility of the Firm's capabilities, lawyers, and market insights
Measurement & Optimization
  • Monitor content performance and business outcomes, using performance data and audience insights to refine editorial strategy, optimize existing content, and identify opportunities for repurposing.
  • Develop editorial guidelines and workflows that let content be efficiently adapted across channels and formats while maintaining quality, consistency, and accuracy.
  • Develop and mentor a high-performing editorial team, establishing the processes, coaching, and editorial discipline needed to consistently produce high-quality, business-focused content in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment
Qualifications:
