Associate Director of Data Science – RAG, NLP, LLM and GenAI (Hybrid or Remote)

Responsibilities and Impact

• Design and develop custom ML, Gen AI, NLP, LLM models for batch and stream processing pipelines, including data ingestion, preprocessing, search, retrieval, RAG, fine-tuning, and prompt engineering.
• Develop, validate, and maintain evaluation tools for model performance, accuracy, and reliability.
• Collaborate with MLOps for deploying models into production, ensuring reliability and scalability.
• Work with product teams, stakeholders, MLOps, and engineering teams to integrate models into systems.
• Document modeling processes and adhere to standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and develop innovative solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master’s, or Ph.D. in related fields.
• 8+ years of experience with structured and unstructured data analytics using ML, RAG, NLP.
• 3+ years experience with Python, Hugging Face, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch.
• 3+ years developing NLP models, especially transformer architectures.
• Experience with search and retrieval solutions, including semantic search with embeddings.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and Generative AI.
