Job summary

UNC Charlotte is seeking an Associate Director of Affinity Engagement to lead affinity-based alumni events and programs, building engagement with corporate, Greek, and athletics networks.

You will manage volunteers, collaborate with campus partners, and drive fundraising goals for volunteer boards, while maintaining program budgets and risk-aware vendor selection. A bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination.
• Experience in alumni relations and program development is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage affinity-based alumni events and programs, including in-person and virtual formats.
• Develop engagement strategies for alumni in corporate sectors, Greek organizations, and athletics.
• Serve as liaison with Athletics for events such as watch parties and tailgates.
• Manage volunteers and committees supporting various alumni programs and events.
• Conduct monthly one-on-one meetings with alumni to strengthen university connections.
• Collaborate with development officers, University Career Center, Athletics, Admissions, and Communications.
• Responsible for fundraising efforts to achieve 100% giving from volunteer boards annually.
• Develop and manage a budget for assigned areas and oversee event vendor selection with risk management.
