North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services is seeking an Associate Director overseeing mental health and substance use services within Medicaid and managed care. You will manage a team of consultants, direct program operations, and shape strategy across internal and external partners.

The role requires expert-level experience in clinical operations, strong leadership, and collaboration with division leadership.

Qualifications

• Expert-level experience directing clinical operations within mental health and substance use disorder service systems.
• Proven track record leading multidisciplinary teams and implementing internal control systems.
• Strong collaboration with division leadership, department stakeholders, and external partners.
• Clear, high-quality written and verbal communication for decision-making and reporting.
• Deep understanding of Medicaid and managed care benefit programs related to mental health and SUD.

Responsabilités

• Oversee operations that support effective delivery of mental health and SUD services within managed care and Medicaid Direct.
• Lead and direct a team of consultants to ensure coordinated and efficient program operations.
• Manage program administration activities advancing mental health and SUD strategies for Medicaid.
• Implement systems supporting clinical operations, program design, and evaluation.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Division, Department, and external partners.
• Coordinate with internal and external partners to support program implementation and initiatives.
