Job Description:
We are looking for an Associate Director of Media Planning. You will set the working style for the planning team, lead the strategic direction, and serve as a partner for our clients. The expectation of the Associate Director is to be a leader and an expert on the daily client business and within the agency. You will demonstrate a working knowledge of the media space, for particularly digital but also traditional channels, and available media research. You will also identify business opportunities and solutions.
You set the tone for how the account is managed, by ensuring focus on important client goals and delivering appropriate resources while maintaining profitability. Experience seeing media plans come to life is essential. You will report to the Senior Director of Media Planning, who oversees our client-agency relationship for the account. This role is hybrid and will work out of our client office, in either Austin or Seattle.
Responsibilities:
Provide and guide strategic input for all media plans, internally and externally
Accountable for media plan output, accuracy, and overall excellence
Demonstrate ability to use resources (syndicated, proprietary, analyst data) to help guide client's marketing goals and apply to recommendations
Work with activation department leads (programmatic, social, search, content, among others) to outline appropriate processes and timelines
Understand and adopt new techniques and technologies that are relevant for clients' media strategies
Be the central contact across investment, strategy, and analytics teams
Build trusting, collaborative relationships with clients at appropriate levels
Represent the client's point of view when reviewing work, use this perspective when providing feedback to team and presenting to client
Ability to work with large teams – directly and indirectly with junior talent and internally across departments
Provide and discuss industry information on media, markets and related dynamics
Construct and deliver accurate, honest performance management documents
Qualifications:
6+ years of integrated media planning experience, preferably within B2B or fintech
Experience developing tactical campaigns for digital channels
Experience managing a team of planners
Knowledge of current trends and innovations in media and culture
Knowledge of insights tools such as MRI and Simmons and tools like Nielsen Ad Intel and/or Kantar Stradegy
Experience with MediaTools and buying platforms such as DDS, MediaOcean, HudsonMX
Understanding of DCM, and other digital media related tools (comScore, eMarketer, Forrester…)

The annual salary range for this position is $68,000-$110,400. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law. Benefits available with this position include:
