Job summary

Guidehouse in Arlington, VA, is seeking an Associate Director to advance life sciences strategies for pharma, biotech, medical devices and diagnostics. You will lead project teams from cultivation to completion, shaping work plans, staffing, deadlines and budgets while ensuring client-ready deliverables.

You will mentor junior staff, collaborate with Directors and Managing Directors, participate in sales initiatives and practice development, and travel to client sites as needed (up to 30%).

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Science or related field; advanced degree/PhD preferred.
• 8+ years life science industry and strategy consulting experience.
• Must have subject matter expertise in product planning, market access, pricing & reimbursement, product commercialization, and regulatory & compliance.
• 3+ years leading project engagements including planning, budgeting and staffing.
• 3+ years formal management of staff performance and career development.
• Willingness to travel to client sites across the US up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of the project team and manage day-to-day client relationships.
• Develop and manage work plans, staffing, deadlines and budgets; ensure high-quality client-ready deliverables.
• Coach staff consultants and collaborate with Directors and Managing Directors; support sales initiatives and practice development.
