Job summary

Kforce is seeking an Associate Director IT Strategic Sourcing in Jersey City, NJ to partner with technology and business leaders, driving strategic sourcing initiatives, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies.

You will lead end-to-end sourcing activities, monitor contract performance, analyze spend, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize costs and drive value in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, category management, or vendor management.
• Experience managing sourcing events, contract negotiations, and supplier relationships across technology categories.
• Experience negotiating agreements for software, hardware, cloud services, telecommunications, managed services, or professional services.
• Strong understanding of technology suppliers, market trends, and emerging solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and drive initiatives with minimal oversight.
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular business reviews with key vendors to assess performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Analyze spend, contract, and supplier data to uncover cost-saving and process efficiency opportunities.
• Drive sourcing projects and vendor initiatives that support financial, operational, and risk management objectives.
• Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance sourcing strategies.
• Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and contractual agreements with suppliers.
• Coordinate supplier onboarding activities and assist with issue resolution during implementation.
• Provide stakeholders with updates on project status, timelines, and procurement activities.
• Collaborate with procurement, legal, finance, and technology teams to support category strategy and sourcing objectives.

Requirements

• Demonstrated success managing sourcing events, contract negotiations, and supplier relationships across technology-related categories
• Experience negotiating agreements for software, hardware, cloud services, telecommunications, managed services, or professional services
• Strong understanding of technology suppliers, market trends, and emerging solutions
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into business-friendly language
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and drive initiatives with minimal oversight
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Strong analytical, reporting, and presentation capabilitiesComfortable operating in evolving environments and supporting organizational change

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
