Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals is seeking an Associate Director of Internal Audit to help design and execute a risk-based audit program aligned with company objectives. The role reports to the CAE and will oversee portions of the SOX testing program while guiding a team of audit professionals.

Ideal candidates hold a CPA, a bachelor’s in accounting, and 8+ years of audit experience, preferably with Big 4 and pharma/biotech exposure. MBA preferred and a strong business partner mindset are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing risk-based audit plans.
• Big 4 and pharma/biotech industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support development and execution of risk-based audit plan.
• Oversee portions of the SOX testing program.
• Provide coaching to junior staff.
