Qualifications

  • Ability to translate business strategy into incentive design and performance management solutions.
  • Advanced analytical, modeling, and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision making.
  • Executive presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional initiatives.

Our client, a leading biopharmaceutical organization, is seeking an Associate Director, Incentive Compensation Analytics to join their Sales Operations team. This individual will play a critical role in shaping sales incentive strategy, driving field performance, and ensuring compensation programs align with broader business objectives. This position offers the opportunity to partner closely with commercial leadership to design, implement, and optimize incentive compensation programs that motivate performance, support strategic priorities, and enhance organizational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a strategic partner to commercial leadership on sales incentive compensation plan design and sales performance initiatives.
  • Lead the development and execution of incentive compensation strategies across a large commercial organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including Sales, Marketing, Analytics, Forecasting, Finance, HR, and Commercial Operations to ensure alignment between compensation programs and business goals.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of incentive compensation plans through modeling, analytics, performance tracking, and field feedback, making recommendations for ongoing optimization.
  • Oversee incentive compensation administration, reporting, payout validation, and operational processes through internal and external support teams.
  • Design and manage sales contests, recognition programs, and performance-based initiatives that reinforce key business priorities.
  • Drive process improvements and identify opportunities to enhance incentive compensation design, analytics, governance, and operational execution.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership regarding incentive plan performance, sales force behaviors, and emerging industry trends.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with 7+ years or Master's degree with 5+ years of biopharma industry experience in incentive compensation, sales operations, field effectiveness, commercial analytics, or related commercial functions.
  • Proven experience designing, implementing, and managing sales incentive compensation programs.
  • Strong understanding of incentive compensation principles, sales force performance drivers, and commercial operations best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business strategy into effective incentive design and performance management solutions.
  • Advanced analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills with the ability to leverage data to drive decision-making.
  • Strong executive presence with a track record of influencing senior stakeholders and leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative leadership style with experience working across diverse teams and stakeholders.
