Job summary

Oscar Health in New York City is seeking an Associate Director, Managed Business Services to autonomously manage the performance and compliance of Oscar's global vendor portfolio across contact center, tech, and insurance operations.

This role translates contracts into daily execution, safeguards member and provider experiences, and enforces vendor accountability through remedies, service credits, or contract terminations when performance falls short.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in health insurance operations.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams across locations.
• Experience with procurement processes including negotiating and contracting for BPO/ITO services.
• Regulatory and data security compliance knowledge: CMS, ACA Marketplace, HIPAA, privacy standards.

Responsibilities

• Establish operating rhythms and drive vendor issue resolution.
• Translate MSAs, SOWs, and SLAs into daily requirements and enforce remedies.
• Track staffing, queue health, quality, and peak preparedness with scorecards.
• Ensure vendor adherence to CMS, HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO 27001, HITRUST and ACA Marketplace requirements.
• Assist with RFI/RFPs, onboarding, transitions, and contract renewals.
• Reconcile invoices, volumes, and unit costs with Procurement and Finance.
• Lead cross-functional disaster recovery and automation initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
