Job summary

AbbVie in North Chicago, IL seeks an Associate Director for Performance & Portfolio Management within the Global Supply Chain SMO. The role leads the portfolio strategy, governance, and execution of strategic initiatives across a global matrix organization.

You will drive end-to-end project delivery, advisory support to sponsors, and cycles of governance to improve agility and efficiency across the function. Hybrid onsite/remote work is available.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of project management experience in global companies
• Proven leadership and relationship-building with senior leaders
• Experience leading cross-functional and multi-site initiatives
• Experience in global matrix organizations and complex programs
• PM certification preferred (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, PMP)

Responsibilities

• Lead the SMO performance & portfolio management team and key project artifacts
• Ensure compliance with Corporate and Quality policies; develop governance for investments
• Build trusted relationships across the organization to advance strategic priorities
• Identify and implement opportunities to optimize project team effectiveness and value
• Advise sponsors on direction and decisions to drive agility and efficiency
• Manage full lifecycle of projects, addressing risks and providing status updates
• Propose new projects to improve productivity, compliance and efficiencies
• Maintain master project list aligned with enterprise priorities
