Job Description

The Associate Director for Graduate Admissions plays a vitalrole in advancing SUNY Oneonta's graduate enrollment goals byleading recruitment and enrollment efforts for the university's graduate programs serving domestic, international, and onlinestudents. This position is responsible for developing andimplementing recruitment strategies, cultivating prospectivestudent relationships, coordinating admissions processes, andpromoting graduate opportunities through outreach, events, andpartnerships. The Associate Director serves as a key contributor to enrollment growth and student success while supporting the missionof the university.

Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Strategic Enrollment,the Associate Director joins a dedicated team committed to servingstudents and their families. This position participates in andcoordinates activities, events, and programs that promote theuniversity's graduate offerings and is responsible for studentrecruitment, coordination of the admissions application and reviewprocess, and follow-up activities in support of graduate enrollmentgoals.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Representing the University professionally and ethically atrecruiting events, conferences, and meetings and travelingindependently to support recruitment and enrollment efforts.
• Assisting with the development of graduate recruitmentstrategies targeting external audiences and current SUNY Oneontastudents.
• Researching and identifying target markets and recruitingvenues, analyzing trends, and assessing the effectiveness ofrecruitment activities and events.
• Utilizing innovative recruitment techniques and marketingmethods to develop, plan, organize, and execute recruitmentinitiatives.
• Employing effective and professional communication andmarketing practices to generate and respond to inquiries, provideconsistent recruiting information, and communicate proactively withexternal agencies, partner universities, school districts, andprivate-sector organizations.
• Delivering presentations to diverse audiences in both in-personand virtual settings.
• Implementing effective practices for coordinating and reviewingapplications, including managing documents, maintaining studentrelationship management processes, and supporting applicationreview activities.
• Working proficiently within the Slate Customer RelationshipManagement (CRM) system to manage prospective studentcommunications, track recruitment activities, and supportenrollment objectives.

Salary
