Job summary

The University of Texas at Arlington is seeking an Associate Director for Admissions-Events to lead the Welcome Center and Admissions event team. You will strategically plan campus visit programs for prospective students, VIP guests, and families, and manage event modules within the CRM.

The role directs a three-person professional staff, oversees recruitment events, and partners with EM Marketing to promote campus visits while ensuring enrollment goals are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 5+ years in Admissions, Recruitment, Enrollment Management, Event Management, or Student Affairs; or 9+ years equivalent experience.
• Experience recruiting diverse and high-performing students.
• Supervisory experience; ability to analyze recruitment event data; understand tech in recruitment; experience with recruitment marketing tools.

Associate Director for Admissions-Events

The annual salary for this position ranges from $68,600 to $78,299. The final offer will be commensurate with the candidate’s relevant experience and qualifications.

Purpose of Position

Provides leadership for the Welcome Center/Admissions event team. Supports overall day-to-day planning and operations for the Dan Dipert University Center. Strategically plans campus visitation programs for prospective students and families, as well as VIP guests of the university. Leads the development and implementation of all campus-wide Admissions recruitment events to assist in meeting enrollment goals for the university. Oversees the recruitment, training, and ongoing developmental needs of the university student tour guide team. Manages a variety of products, including the virtual tour, self-guided tour app, and event modules in the CRM. Serves in a senior leadership capacity on the Admissions recruitment team and is a cost center manager for the Welcome Center. Serves prospective and current student populations, including but not limited to first-generation, high-achieving, transfer, and graduate students.

Essential Functions

• Provides leadership and manages three full-time professional staff members, including an assistant director and coordinators, as well as student staff.
• Coaches and leads team efforts to reach visitation and event attendance goals.
• Supports the professional development of staff members.
• Leads the Admissions event team in the development and creation of campus-wide recruitment event initiatives, both on and off campus, targeting specific attendance to meet enrollment goals.
• Works with the EM Marketing team to develop promotions for events and campus visit opportunities and communicate with various student audiences.
• Manages tour/event attendee tracking in the CRM.
• Maintains consistency of the university brand in all materials ordered for events or campus tours.
• Coordinates university campus tours and affiliated presentations.
• Welcomes prospective students, families, counselors, and other interested parties visiting the campus for individual, group, and VIP tour programs.
• Tracks campus tour attendance and provides data in monthly and annual reports.
• Manages the daily operations of the Dan Dipert University Welcome Center, including the physical building and budgetary needs.
• Manages the university virtual tour and self-guided tour app.
• Hires, supervises, trains, and leads the university student tour guide team.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in Admissions, Recruitment, Enrollment Management, Event Management, or Student Affairs, or nine (9) years of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with the recruitment of students from diverse backgrounds, including high-performing students.
• Supervisory experience; competency in analyzing recruitment-related event data and assessing programming activities; an understanding of innovative uses of technology in the recruitment process; and experience with recruitment marketing tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• A Master’s degree and seven (7) years of experience in admissions, enrollment management, academic affairs, or student affairs.
• Three (3) years of management experience.

• Self-starter and team player.
