Job summary

S&P Global in New York, NY, seeks a senior engineer to design and develop high‑performance calculation engines for fixed income indices and analytics. You will collaborate across teams to deliver scalable services, participate in architecture reviews, and drive reliability improvements.

The role requires mentoring engineers, leading modernization initiatives, and ensuring end‑to‑end data lineage and reproducibility across analytics models and inputs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of software development with Java, C#, Python, or Scala.
• Strong experience with distributed systems and microservices (SpringBoot, JPA).
• Proficiency with AWS/Azure/GCP cloud platforms.
• Extensive SQL and NoSQL experience (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Demonstrated expertise in fixed income system design and analytics.
• Solid understanding of Agile development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance calculation engines for fixed income indices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement scalable solutions.
• Contribute to code reviews, architecture discussions, and reliability practices.
