Job Description

About the role:

As the Associate Director, Field Marketing you will partner with SBS leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure the development and execution of strategic/tactical marketing plans and achievement of key business objectives on time and within budget to help Takeda better serve patients. In addition, you will lead SBS HCP engagement strategy and pull through, SBS professional engagements at congresses and execution on behalf of the brand (includes KOL/thought leader engagement, advisory board planning and execution, congress content development), and HCP discussion content/program development and execution.

How you will contribute:

  • Contribute to the development of the annual brand business plan at a strategic and tactical level.

  • Create strategically aligned congress tactics and ensure their successful execution through engagement to help Takeda better serve patients; these include:

  • Owning and executing congress activities including booth design/strategy, symposia content, KOL engagements and meetings, booth staffing

  • Ensuring that booth staff is certified and has completed all compliance trainings

  • KOL consultant meetings to gain insights that would inform brand strategies and tactics

  • Owning and expanding GI, GI surgeons, and pediatric resource development, messaging and field execution directives

  • Responsible for KOL engagement strategy pull through and management of all customer data in Veeva platform

  • Leverage technology to evolve innovation of commercial approach by leveraging technology, customer insights, field observations, and continued education; in support of this:

  • Remain current with customer, competitive and marketplace activities and share these insights and perspectives in a structured way with the broader team to inform brand plan and its tactical execution.

  • Engage with internal and external partners to seek insights, best practices and synergistic opportunities.

  • Liaise with legal, regulatory, and compliance to ensure all activities are compliant with policies and regulations.As a project owner, responsibilities include working within the internal review process on a consultative basis to seek input on concepts and to seek required approvals for marketing strategies and tactics.

  • Manage external agencies and consultants/contractors to meet expected project objectives and hold them accountable to agreed standards.

  • As a leader within the team, support development of others and foster a positive culture within the team and with cross-functional partners.

  • Assumes budget accountability for strategic and tactical execution with MedComm agency/team. Manage spending against budget/forecast and perform all monthly reconciliations and reporting requirements.Proactively identify trends and insights to optimize spend and as appropriate, program performance.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree required with a focus in Biology, Marketing, Strategy and/or Business Administration preferred.

  • 10 years of progressively responsible marketing or sales experience within the bio-pharmaceutical industry with a minimum of 3 years of experience in speaker bureau management or congress marketing, or ad board development.

  • Must have experience developing engagement plans for thought leaders / key opinion leader management and ability to comfortably liaise with these customers

  • Must have experience leading congress strategy, training, content development and execution of national level conferences

  • Must have strong leadership skills with an ability to set direction, generate commitment, identify and resolve issues, and evaluate risk. Equally important is the ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams with a proven ability to influence without authority

  • Must have strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

  • Must be able to perform in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously

  • Must have strong analytical, problem solving and strategic thinking skills

  • Must have strong financial management and budgeting capabilities

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$153,600.00 - $241,340.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-termincentives. U.S.based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S.based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
