Secretariat seeks a senior electrical engineering consultant to lead complex analyses for high-profile clients across automotive, consumer products, and medical devices. You will drive engagement success, mentor staff, and advance Secretariat’s Electrical Engineering practice.

Based in Chicago or New York, the role requires a PhD or MS in Electrical Engineering or related field, proven business development, and willingness to travel globally. Competitive compensation in USD is offered.

Qualifications

  • Established track record for business development and existing client-base.
  • PhD or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or Computer Science & Engineering.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Have previously testified in deposition, trial, arbitration or hearings.
  • The ability to travel globally as needed.

ABOUT OUR GLOBAL ENGINEERING SCIENCES TEAM

As part of our expanding Global Engineering and Scientific consulting team, you will work at the forefront of today’s most complex engineering challenges. You will be engaged in analyzing failures of a myriad of products from a variety ofindustriesfromautomotive, construction, consumer products, consumerelectronicsand medicaldevices to name a few. Secretariat leveragesour diverse technicalexpertise, and industry knowledge of a variety of structures and products to provide clients with world-class value toidentifysolutions that drive performance and safety.

This position is available in either our Chicago or New York office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Established track recordfor business development and existing client-base
  • Requisite professional degreesand~6-8years of work experience:
  • PhD or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Physicsor Computer Science & Engineering
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Have previously testified in deposition, trial,arbitrationor hearings
  • Excellent expert report writing skills to complement analytics
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent listening, verbal, written, technical, and presentation skills
  • The desire to lead, auxiliary tasks associated with a growing practice within a rapidly growing firm
  • The ability to travelgloballyasneeded.
  • Experience with Power electronics, Industrial process control, consumer products, circuit analysis, control system is a plus
  • The ability to work odd hours to adjusttoclient needs globally
