Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking an Associate Director, EHS to lead the Environmental, Health, and Safety program at the Devens facility in MA. You will design and implement EHS policies, drive a proactive culture, and align site practices with corporate standards.

Role requires at least 10 years in EHS within manufacturing, knowledge of cGMP, and strong leadership and communication skills. On-site role with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities within a global biopharma leader.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in science or engineering.
• Master’s/Graduate degree in a relevant discipline is desired.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing EHS role.
• Experience in chemical or pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
• Professional license or certification in appropriate discipline desired.
• Experience managing people.
• Six Sigma Certification (Green belt or above) desired.
• Ability to influence and drive a sustainable EHS culture.
• Highly skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and EHS systems like Intellex.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and handle multiple high priority items simultaneously and think creatively, critically.
• Proclivity for partnership and cross‑team collaboration.
• Advanced knowledge of cGMP regulations and how they apply to EH&S requirements.
• Clean room or aseptic manufacturing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures compliance with environmental, safety, medical surveillance and sustainability laws and regulations.
• Develop and implement new EHS programs, policies, and procedures and update existing ones.
• Provide regulatory and technical guidance and lead trainings as the subject matter expert for EHS programs.
• Communicates strategic objectives for EHS balancing risk, expectations and regulatory requirements.
• Investigates incidents to develop solutions to minimize recurrence and ensures proper reporting.
• Manage CAPAs and annual self‑assessments for the site with the EHS leadership.
• Lead MOC program for EHS including impact assessments and change requests.
