Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking an Associate Director for Disability and Access at UT Main Campus. You will oversee student accommodations, supervise Access Coordinators, and guide departmental strategy to remove barriers for students who need accessibility support.

Based at UT Austin, the role requires training staff, managing a 150–200 student caseload, and collaborating with campus partners to ensure timely and compliant accommodations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in education, psychology, social science or related field.
• Minimum three years in disability higher education services or related student accessibility.
• Experience reviewing disability documentation and determining accommodations.
• Knowledge of ADA/ADA Amendments Act, FERPA and related postsecondary disability services.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate processes for student accommodations with internal and external partners.
• Hire, train, supervise and evaluate 4-5 Access Coordinators; oversee performance and development.
• Provide guidance on D&A processes and serve as day-to-day point of contact.
• Maintain a 150–200 student caseload; determine reasonable accommodations and support implementation.
• Oversee maintenance of student files and data reporting; ensure confidentiality and FERPA compliance.
• Represent D&A at campus events and committees; fill in for Directors as needed.
