Job summary

BridgeBio is seeking an Associate Director or Director of Strategic Finance to bridge science, strategy, and finance and to drive corporate finance and capital markets initiatives. You will translate complex analyses into clear recommendations for executive leadership and the Board.

This in‑person role is based in Palo Alto and requires 4–5 days in the office, with responsibilities spanning diligence, valuation, and investor communications. Strong modeling and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, business, finance, economics, or related analytical discipline required.
• Advanced scientific or clinical degree (PhD, MD, PharmD, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
• 2–4 years of management consulting with progression to leadership roles (e.g., Engagement Manager or equivalent).
• Demonstrated experience conducting commercial diligence on biotechnology assets.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end strategic transactions including licensing, M&A, financings, and partnerships.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on capital allocation and strategic analysis.
• Apply advanced valuation methods to inform investment decisions.

What You’ll Do

BridgeBio is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join as an Associate Director or Director of Strategic Finance. The role reports to Strategic Finance and Investor Relations and will be instrumental in driving the company’s corporate finance and capital markets efforts to support growth and enhance shareholder value. The position is designed for an individual who can operate at the intersection of science, strategy, and finance, and translate complex analyses into clear recommendations for executive leadership and the Board.

This role is focused on evaluating and executing strategic and financial opportunities at BridgeBio. A successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional problem‑solving ability, strong independent judgment, and the capacity to translate complex scientific and financial analyses into clear, decisive recommendations for executive leadership. Responsibilities

• Transaction Leadership: Lead end‑to‑end evaluation and execution of strategic transactions, including licensing, M&A, structured financings, and asset‑level partnerships—from opportunity framing through diligence, valuation, and negotiation support.
• Capital Allocation & Strategic Analysis: Partner with senior leadership to evaluate key business and financial decisions through insights, scenario modeling, and assessment of strategic options.
• Decision Modeling & Valuation: Apply advanced valuation frameworks (e.g., real options, probabilistic modeling) to inform investment decisions and transaction structuring.
• Executive & Investor Communication: Synthesize complex analyses into clear recommendations for senior leadership, the Board, and external stakeholders, including materials supporting capital markets activity and strategic transactions.
• Investor Relations & Consensus Management: Support investor relations activities through analysis of street models, management of external expectations, development of investor materials, and preparation for earnings and key corporate events.

Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, business, finance, economics, or a related analytical discipline required.

• Familiarity with industry data platforms like IQVIA and/or financial data platforms like Bloomberg or Capital IQ.

Salary

$222,800 – $274,800 USD (California, Full‑Time U.S. based roles). The final salary offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors that may include but are not limited to type and length of experience in the role, type and length of experience in the industry, educational background, location of residence, and performance during the interview process. BridgeBio is a multi‑state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions based in other states.
