Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking an Associate Director – Digital Transformation to lead M&S software integration, data platforms, and AI-driven initiatives across government customers. You will develop strategic roadmaps, establish governance, and mentor high-performing teams in a complex, security‑sensitive space environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM or other technical discipline.
• 10+ years in software/engineering, digital transformation roles including DE/M&S/cloud/data/AI.
• 7+ years in leadership roles managing technical teams and programs.
• Ability to work in high-ambiguity environments with evolving requirements and diverse stakeholders.
• Experience with defense/intelligence/civil space programs in advisory or delivery capacity.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic digital transformation initiatives and roadmaps for Aerospace and government customers, focusing on M&S workflows, data management, AI capabilities, and software integration across cloud/HPC environments.
• Establish governance frameworks, technical standards, program management, and decision processes across multiple programs and customer organizations; balance innovation with risk, security, and compliance.
• Build and retain high-performing teams across M&S software integration, data engineering, DevSecOps, cloud architecture, and AI/ML; foster collaboration and career development.
• Serve as a customer liaison; build trusted relationships with senior government stakeholders; align digital initiatives with mission priorities and timelines.
• Drive adoption and organizational change; measure value delivery, establish communities of practice, and manage change across large organizations.
• Integrate needs across M&S software, data management, infrastructure, security, and mission operations to serve the space enterprise.
• Champion modern engineering practices; advance CI/CD, software factories, automated testing, infrastructure as code, and DevSecOps.
