About the Role

The Data Operations Group at Eisai, Inc. is looking for an Associate Director - Data Scientist/Programmer to create insightful AI-powered dashboards. The Data Scientist will collaborate with Data Operations and Biostatisticians to support projects across various stages of development, providing actionable insights for critical projects vital to our business.

This position may be office-based (hybrid) in Nutley, NJ, or remote.

Responsibilities
  1. Data Extraction & Analysis: Extract and manipulate complex datasets to generate reports, charts, and graphs; analyze for outliers, root causes, business impacts, correlations, and discrepancies. Propose solutions to optimize outcomes.
  2. AI-Driven Data Preparation: Utilize AI and machine learning techniques for automated data preparation, especially for dynamic visualizations and insights via Power BI.
  3. Natural Language Processing & LLM: Experience with Large Language Models and NLP to generate infographics and insights.
  4. Data Preparation for Analysis: Clean datasets, handle missing values, and remove outliers for high-quality modeling inputs.
  5. Insight Generation: Identify patterns and root causes to support drug discovery and development.
  6. Data Integration: Combine diverse data sources for comprehensive analysis aiding decision-making.
  7. Model Training & Data Quality: Assess data quality for training and testing models to ensure reliability.
  8. Communication of Findings: Present insights clearly to inform strategic decisions.
  9. Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with data scientists, biostatisticians, and data standards teams on data collection and feature design.
  10. Data Visualization: Communicate complex findings using visual tools and dashboards accessible to diverse audiences.
Qualifications
  1. Master's degree in Computer Science or related field with research projects.
  2. Expertise in data modeling techniques.
  3. Proficiency in Python or R, especially in data manipulation and analysis libraries.
  4. Experience with visualization tools like Tableau or matplotlib.
  5. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage complex projects independently.
  6. Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
Additional Information

The salary range for this role is from $171,100 to $224,600. Employees are eligible for annual incentive plans and long-term incentives. Benefits details are available at Eisai Benefits.
