The Data Operations Group at Eisai, Inc. is looking for an Associate Director - Data Scientist/Programmer to create insightful AI-powered dashboards. The Data Scientist will work closely with Data Operations and Biostatisticians in data ingestion, streaming, and dashboard production to support projects across various development stages. This role will be key in providing actionable insights for critical projects vital to our business.

The Data Operations Group at Eisai, Inc. is looking for an Associate Director - Data Scientist/Programmer to create insightful AI-powered dashboards. The Data Scientist will collaborate with Data Operations and Biostatisticians on data ingestion, streaming, and dashboard creation to support projects at various stages. This role is crucial for delivering actionable insights for strategic projects.

This position may be either office-based (hybrid) in Nutley, NJ, or remote.

Responsibilities

1. Data Extraction & Analysis: Extract and manipulate complex datasets to generate reports, charts, and graphs, analyzing for outliers, root causes, business impacts, correlations, and discrepancies. Propose solutions to optimize outcomes.
2. AI-Driven Data Preparation: Use AI and machine learning techniques for automated data preparation, especially for dynamic visualizations and insights through Power BI.
3. Natural Language Processing & LLM: Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and NLP techniques to generate infographics and insights.
4. Data Preparation for Analysis: Clean datasets, handle missing values, and remove outliers to ensure high-quality inputs for modeling.
5. Insight Generation for Drug Discovery: Identify data patterns and root causes to support drug discovery and development.
6. Comprehensive Data Integration: Integrate diverse data sources to provide holistic project views, aiding decision-making.
7. Model Training & Data Quality Assessment: Evaluate data quality for model training and testing to ensure reliable predictive models.
8. Clear Communication of Findings: Present insights and recommendations clearly to inform strategic decisions.
9. Collaboration Across Teams: Work with data scientists, biostatisticians, and data standards teams to ensure data consistency.
10. Data Communication & Visualization: Communicate complex findings through visualizations, reports, and dashboards for varied audiences.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field with research projects.
• Expertise in data modeling techniques.
• Proficiency in Python or R, with strong data manipulation and analysis skills.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, matplotlib).

Eisai Salary Transparency: The base salary range for this role is $171,100 - $224,600. The position is eligible for the Eisai Inc. Annual Incentive Plan & Long Term Incentive Plan. Final pay depends on experience, education, and skills.
