Deloitte’s Tax Digital Innovation team seeks an Associate Director Data Scientist to lead advanced analytics, ML and Generative AI solutions turning tax challenges into scalable products. Qualifications

• Proven experience leading data science and AI initiatives from concept to production.
• Strong stakeholder management translating technical concepts into business value.
• Mentoring and technical leadership for data scientists and AI practitioners.
• Deep knowledge of statistical modelling, ML, GenAI and model evaluation.
• Proficiency in Python and modern data science frameworks.
• Experience with Azure AI services including Azure ML and Azure AI Foundry.
• Understanding of responsible AI, governance and interpretability.
• Experience with structured and unstructured data in Agile delivery environments.
• Ability to translate emerging technologies into practical business solutions.
• Experience shaping data science strategy, roadmaps and standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of data science, analytics and AI solutions across Tax and Legal.
• Translate client challenges into data-driven products and scalable solutions.
• Oversee data processing, cleansing and validation for analysis and modeling.
• Apply advanced ML and Generative AI techniques to derive insights.
• Own models from experimentation to deployment, monitoring and maintenance.
• Champion model performance, governance and auditability across delivery work.
• Articulate value, benefits and risks of analytics to clients and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with SMEs, engineers and product teams on new propositions.
• Mentor data science colleagues to raise technical quality.
• Drive automation and optimisation of client workflows.
