Job summary

Moderna Therapeutics seeks a strategic FP&A leader to drive enterprise-wide budgeting, forecasting, and performance management. You will consolidate and analyze results, build executive-grade presentations, and influence critical resource decisions across Moderna.

You will partner with senior leaders across Commercial, R&D, CMC, and G&A to deliver insights, owning labor/benefits forecasting and long-term value creation in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive FP&A or corporate finance experience.
• Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical capabilities.
• Proven experience partnering with senior leaders and influencing decisions.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with financial planning systems.
• Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

The Role

In this highly visible and strategic role, you will support enterprise-wide financial planning, forecasting, and performance management while helping shape key business decisions across Moderna. Reporting to the Senior Director of Corporate FP&A, you will partner closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver insights that inform decision-making, resource allocation, and long-term value creation. The position sits within Corporate Finance and plays a central role in consolidating, analyzing, and communicating financial results across the organization. Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)

• MBA, CPA, or CFA
• Prior experience in commercial biopharma or life sciences
• Hands‑on experience with enterprise FP&A tools (e.g., Hyperion EPM, Anaplan)
• Exposure to long‑range planning, portfolio prioritization, or capital allocation
• Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives and mentor junior team members
• Experience working in a matrixed organization

The salary range for this role is $142,500.00 - $256,500.00. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An individual’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, performance, and business or organizational needs. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, other incentive compensation, or equity award, subject to company plan eligibility criteria and individual performance.
