Mexican American Opportunity Foundation seeks an Associate Director of Comprehensive Services to oversee health, nutrition, education, family engagement, mental health, and disability services across EHS/HS/CDE programs in California. The role guides operational systems, supervises program managers, and partners with community organizations to ensure regulatory compliance and high-quality services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public administration, public health, human services, early childhood education, social work, business, or a related field.
• Seven years of management experience in Head Start, Early Head Start, State Preschool, or related program.
• Experience in planning, operations, evaluation, compliance, budgeting, and MIS.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for health, nutrition, early childhood education, family services, mental health, and disability services.
• Recruit, train, supervise, coach, and evaluate staff while supporting ongoing professional development.
• Ensure compliance with Head Start standards, Head Start Act, CDE requirements, licensing, and CACFP requirements.
• Oversee program monitoring, analyze findings, and implement corrective action and quality-improvement plans.
• Monitor school readiness goals, program outcomes, child and family services, and licensing requirements.
• Develop and maintain program systems, policies, procedures, training plans, and coordinated service approaches.
• Prepare required reports and develop/MOA agreements with schools, public agencies, healthcare providers, and community organizations.
• Develop and monitor service-area budgets, purchasing, grants, and funding proposals.
