Job summary

The University of California, Santa Barbara is seeking an Associate Director to lead CEES, a grant-funded program within the Chicano Studies Institute. This full-time role reports to the CEES Faculty Director and oversees programs, staff, and internships while coordinating budgets and assessments.

Responsibilities include development of recruitment plans, faculty collaboration, hiring support, and public outreach to ensure program objectives align with NSF requirements and campus policies.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an MA granting program or 3 years of relevant experience in student services.
• Experience in program development, project management and supervision.
• Ability to work across departments and manage diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee CEES programs, staff, and budget under the Faculty Director.
• Coordinate scheduling, travel, and professional development activities.
• Liaise with Advisory Committee and partner schools, and report progress.
• Assist with hiring for career counseling and graduate mentor positions.
• Represent CEES in meetings and develop outreach and assessment plans.
