Job summary

SMU's Cox Career Management Center is seeking a Career Coach to guide Cox students and alumni toward career readiness. You will coach individuals and groups, administer career assessments, and support job search activities on and off campus.

The role involves planning targeted events, collaborating with industry staff, and contributing to admissions outreach. The position requires some evenings for events and occasional travel to conferences or workshops, with opportunities to impact finance,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required (preferably in business).
• Minimum of three years of professional work experience in a business-related or career-coaching function is required.
• Experience with interviewing, hiring, coaching or recruiting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Career Coaching (individual): manage coaching of 2300+ students/alumni in career planning and job search.
• External Relations/Employer Outreach: engage with students, faculty, staff, alumni and recruiters.
• Career Coaching/Training (group/workshops): plan and lead career-related sessions and workshops.
• Event Planning: organize industry-specific events to connect employers and students; track outcomes.
• Reporting/Website Content: prepare reports and program outcomes as directed.
• Support BBA/MS Admissions: participate in information sessions and create career-related content.
• Some evenings for events and travel to conferences/workshops.
