Job summary

MSD is seeking an Associate Director, Bioanalytical Laboratory in Gaithersburg, MD. You will lead the bioanalytical lab, directing assay validations and sample testing while ensuring GLP/GCLP compliance and staff proficiency.

You will collaborate with senior management on strategies and budgets, oversee training, and coordinate daily operations to deliver high-quality services and effective customer interactions.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. preferred; Master’s with relevant experience considered.
• Minimum 8 years in immunoassay development or GLP/GCLP bioanalytical environments.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and direct bioanalytical resources for assay validations and sample testing.
• Ensure GLP/GCLP compliance across procedures, documentation and training.
• Lead staff with training plans and performance development.
• Oversee budgets for laboratory operations including staffing and equipment.
• Coordinate daily laboratory operations and staff schedules with management.
• Represent the organization professionally in meetings with customers.
