Job summary

Madrigal Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in PA seeks an Associate Director, Clinical Capabilities Innovation to lead the design and delivery of AI-enabled clinical operations capabilities, with an initial focus on the eTMF ecosystem.

You will partner with IT, Clinical Operations, TMF Operations, Quality, vendors, and senior stakeholders to translate needs into scalable, compliant processes and support Veeva Vault deployments and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; degree in life sciences, health sciences, information systems, business, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 10–12 years of overall experience and 8–10 years in clinical operations systems, preferably in biotech or pharma.
• Experience in clinical operations, eTMF, study startup, clinical documentation, or related functions.
• Strong understanding of clinical trial execution, regulated document management, GCP, and sponsor oversight.
• Experience with Veeva Vault Clinical apps preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI-enabled clinical operations capabilities, including TMF intake, classification, metadata extraction, and oversight.
• Support delivery of capabilities within Veeva Vault and related systems; assess releases and prioritize enhancements.
• Govern AI-enabled processes with performance monitoring, change control, and continuous improvement.
• Build cross-functional partnerships across Clinical Operations, IT, Quality, vendors, and senior stakeholders.
