Job summary

American Jewish Committee (AJC) in Palm Beach County seeks an Associate Director of Development to propel our fundraising efforts and connect local philanthropy with AJC’s global initiatives.

You will lead donor relations, identify prospects, and plan programs that support our mission while collaborating with community leaders across the region.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of fundraising and donor cultivation experience with a bachelor’s or advanced degree.
• Knowledge and passion for Jewish issues, Israel, and Palm Beach County philanthropic community.
• Stellar communication skills capable of engaging, inspiring, and closing deals.
• Creativity, organizational savvy, and ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• A sense of humor.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with donors, prospects, and community leaders through parlor meetings, committees, and outreach.
• Inspire giving by soliciting and stewarding prospects and connecting them to AJC’s programs and events.
• Foster community by engaging with Palm Beach County’s corporate, financial, and philanthropic circles.
• Create impactful events by planning parlor meetings and fundraisers to inspire support.
• Champion AJC’s mission by leading donor recognition societies and leadership development programs.

About the Role

We’re seeking a passionate and skilled Associate Director of Development to help propel our efforts forward. You’ll be the bridge between AJC’s global vision and the local Palm Beach County community.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships: Cultivate meaningful connections with donors, prospects, and community leaders, including parlor meetings, committee building, and creative outreach strategies.
• Inspire giving: Identify, solicit, and steward philanthropic prospects, connecting them to AJC’s impactful programs and events locally and nationally.
• Foster community: Engage with Palm Beach County’s corporate, financial, and philanthropic circles to expand AJC’s reach and influence.
• Create impactful events: Plan and execute engaging programs, parlor meetings, and fundraisers to inspire support.
• Champion AJC’s mission: Lead donor recognition societies, leadership development programs, and support the Global Forum to drive success.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in fundraising and donor cultivation plus a bachelor’s degree or advanced degree.
• Knowledge and passion for Jewish issues, Israel, and the philanthropic community in Palm Beach County.
