Job summary

ProFound Therapeutics is seeking an Associate Director, Accounting to lead and build the company’s accounting function in a lean, fast‑moving biotech environment. You will own the close, policies, systems and controls, reporting to the SVP, Finance, with visibility to the CEO and Board.

The ideal candidate will be hands‑on, possess strong technical judgment, and bring experience with U.S. GAAP, NetSuite OneWorld and collaboration with FP&A, Legal and R&D teams as the company scales toward

Qualifications

• CPA certification required.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Biotech, pharmaceutical or life sciences experience preferred.
• Hands-on ownership of monthly, quarterly and annual close and GAAP statements.
• Strong internal controls and audit readiness knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual close with accurate U.S. GAAP reporting.
• Own accounting areas: revenue, R&D, accruals, fixed assets, leases, equity, debt.
• Oversee AP, payroll, expenses and cash management.
• Maintain accounting policies, documentation and close methodology.
• Prepare materials for audits and external reporting.
