Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions LLC is seeking an Associate Digital Solutions Engineer to build and test AI-driven tools that streamline work for our field and office teams. You will pilot, test, and refine solutions, then hand them to the delivery team for production builds, while ensuring quality and value across the organization.

You’ll collaborate with the Digital & AI team, document results, and help scale trusted tools. A hands-on, curious builder mindset and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/DS/Engineering, Information Systems, Business Analytics or related field.
• Working knowledge of Python or a similar language, plus basic data skills (SQL, spreadsheets, or data analysis tools).
• Familiarity with modern AI tools and concepts, including LLMs, prompt design, copilots, and workflow automation platforms.
• Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Coursework or graduate study in machine learning or AI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Spend time with field and office teams to assess needs and determine if existing SAP or tools can meet the job.
• Build and configure pilot tools using AI, automation, and workflow platforms from prioritized use cases.
• Test pilots with users, measure time saved or results improved, and refine them accordingly.
• Work with analytics and systems teams to obtain data for pilots.
• Document how each pilot works, what was tested, and learnings in concise updates.
• Support handoff of validated pilots to delivery for production builds.
• Review AI tools built by teams before broader sharing.
• Help run live tools by monitoring answer quality, correcting errors, and flagging non-value tools.

Associate Digital Solutions Engineer (Associate DSE) THE POSITION IN A NUTSHELL Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an Associate Digital Solutions Engineer (Associate DSEs) that build and test practical AI and automation tools that make everyday work easier for our field and office teams. This position will work with the Digital & AI team, reporting to the Chief Digital Officer. Associate DSEs take in ideas from across the business, build pilots for the ones that are prioritized, test them with the people who will use them, and measure whether they work. Pilots that prove out are handed to the delivery team for production builds. Associate DSEs are encouraged to try modern AI tools and test ideas quickly. Strong performers can grow into the Digital Solutions Engineer role as they take on more ownership.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (and doing well!)

Spend time with field and office teams, take in their ideas, and check whether SAP or a tool we already have can do the job before anything new is built.

Build and configure pilot tools using AI, automation, and workflow platforms, starting from use cases prioritized by the Chief Digital Officer.

Test pilots with the people who will use them, measure whether they save time or improve results, and refine them based on what you learn.

Work with the analytics and systems teams to get the data a pilot needs.

Document on how each pilot works, what was tested, and what was learned, and share results in short, clear updates.

Support the handoff of validated pilots to the delivery team for production builds.

Review AI tools that teams and departments build for themselves before they are shared more widely.

Help run tools once they are live by watching answer quality, fixing wrong answers, and flagging tools that are not showing value.
