RR Donnelley is seeking a Dev/Ops Administrator and Engineer to support the Rocket Enterprise Server environment (Micro Focus). You will design, implement, and maintain infrastructure across Linux, Windows, and AS400 platforms, guide development teams on platform capabilities, and assist with patching and upgrades.
You will interface with vendors, ensure governance and DR readiness, and participate in 24/7 on-call rotations, applying strong automation and process improvements to keep systems

The role is to function primarily as a Dev/Ops Administrator and Engineer for the Rocket Enterprise Server (formerly Micro Focus) environment. The role involves interfacing with vendors for issue resolution and providing technical guidance to development teams regarding platform capabilities and limitations. You will assist with developing infrastructure design specifications supporting critical legacy core applications and evaluate, plan, and integrate hardware, software, and middleware solutions while ensuring seamless system performance. You will apply and test patch updates and upgrades as required.
Micro Focus Enterprise Developer and Enterprise Server, COBOL, REXX, JCL, Linux, BASH scripting, MQ Series, and DB2 Database
Fundamentals of Windows and Linux OS Security
Strong understanding of VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, and SAN/NAS storage
Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, and Firewall rules as they relate to DR replication.
Proficiency in AI integration with business processes such as information gathering, inventory, automation and process improvement
RRD\'s current salary range for this role is $78,700 to $125,900 / year. The salary range may be adjusted based on the applicable geographic location of the hired employee, and the range may change in the future. At RRD, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions may vary based upon, but not limited to education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. Depending on the role, in addition to base salary, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
